Latent Layer LLC
Effective Date: January 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Latent Layer LLC ("Latent Layer," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Latent Layer LLC is a Delaware limited liability company operating remotely.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
A. Information you provide
- Account information: email address and authentication credentials (or tokens), basic account settings.
- Contact information: information you provide when you email us or submit a contact request (such as name, email, and message).
- User content: images, videos, or files you upload to the Service for processing.
B. Payment and billing information
If the Service includes paid features, payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We may receive limited billing details such as purchase status, plan/product identifiers, timestamps, and transaction references. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
C. Automatically collected information
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, timestamps, and interaction data.
- Device and log data: browser type, IP address, and diagnostic logs.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use necessary cookies to enable core functionality (such as login/session). You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service
- Process uploads and deliver requested outputs
- Authenticate users and prevent abuse or fraud
- Provide support and respond to inquiries
- Process and administer purchases/subscriptions (if applicable)
- Troubleshoot issues and improve reliability and user experience using usage data, logs, and aggregated metrics
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
We may use aggregated and de-identified usage data and logs to improve reliability and user experience. We do not use your uploaded content to train models or to build training datasets.
5. Upload retention and deletion
- Uploaded files are retained for up to 24 hours to support processing and delivery, and then removed from active storage.
- We may retain limited logs/metadata longer for security, fraud prevention, and debugging.
6. Third-party processing (including AI services)
To provide the Service, we may use third-party providers for hosting, storage, databases, email delivery, payments, security, and AI processing.
AI providers (examples): Google and OpenAI. When you use AI-powered features, your prompts and uploaded content may be processed by these providers to generate outputs you request.
7. Third-party retention & training
Third-party AI providers may retain and process inputs according to their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control. Where available, we may configure provider settings to minimize retention and to opt out of provider training; however, provider practices and options may vary over time. We encourage you to review the applicable provider terms before using AI features.
8. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run the Service (cloud hosting, storage, databases, email delivery, payments, and security).
- AI providers used to process your requests and generate outputs.
- Legal and safety parties when required by law or to protect users, the public, or our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
9. Where information is processed (international transfers)
We may process and store data using infrastructure and vendors that may include:
- Cloudflare R2 (for static assets/object storage)
- Supabase (for databases)
Because we serve users globally, your information may be processed in countries other than where you reside. When AI-powered features are used, third-party AI providers may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions depending on their infrastructure and terms. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (such as contractual protections).
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can request account deletion or privacy inquiries by contacting us at hello@latentlayer.net. We may need to retain certain information for legal or security purposes.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
